Effective: October 1, 2026 · Last updated: October 2, 2026
In short: Astro Widgets computes everything on your device. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics SDK in the app and no cross-app tracking. The only personal data that leaves your phone is what Apple and RevenueCat need to run your subscription, and that never includes your name, email or location. This website uses cookieless Fathom Analytics.
1. Who we are and what this covers
The controller of your personal data is Tanriverdi, Muhammed, a sole proprietorship registered in Belgium (enterprise number BE 0788.443.120) and trading as S3soft ("we", "us", "our"). Planetaro and Astro Widgets are brands of S3soft; Astro Widgets is made by the same studio as the Planetaro planetary hours app.
This policy covers the Astro Widgets iOS app ("the App"), its widget extension and this website (www.astrologywidgets.com). It does not cover the Planetaro app or planetaro.com, which have their own policy.
2. Data that stays on your device
The App needs a few settings to draw your widgets. All of them are stored only on your iPhone, in the App's private container shared with its widget extension, and are protected by iOS's standard data protection. They are included in your iCloud or iTunes device backup if you use one, and removed when you delete the App.
- Chosen place — the city name, latitude, longitude and time zone you pick. Used to compute sunrise, sunset, planetary hours, moon and eclipse visibility for that place.
- Saved widget designs — the templates, theme packs, fonts and options you save in My Gallery, plus any name you give a design.
- Display preferences — 12/24-hour time, distance units, whether onboarding is complete.
- Subscription state — a single true/false flag mirrored from your App Store entitlement so widgets know which designs are unlocked.
Every astronomical calculation (ephemeris, planetary hours, moon phases, eclipse tables, retrograde periods) runs inside the App using bundled data. Widgets never connect to the internet.
3. What we do not collect
- No account, sign-in, name, email address or phone number.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDK (no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no third-party telemetry).
- No advertising, ad identifiers (IDFA) or ad networks.
- No contacts, photos, calendar, health or motion data.
- No precise or background location sent to us or anyone else.
- No payment details — Apple processes every purchase.
Apple may show us aggregated, anonymous App Store statistics (downloads, crashes, sessions) if you have opted into sharing analytics with developers in your iOS settings. We cannot identify you from that data.
4. Location
You choose your place on a map inside the App. Tapping Locate me asks iOS for permission to use your location while using the App, solely to centre the map on you. The permission is optional: you can pick any city by tapping the map instead. Your coordinates are stored on the device as described in section 2 and are never transmitted to our servers. Reverse geocoding (turning coordinates into a city name) and map tiles are provided by Apple Maps under Apple's privacy policy.
5. Subscriptions (Apple & RevenueCat)
Astro Widgets Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. Apple handles billing, receipts, trials, renewals and refunds and shares no payment information with us.
To check whether a subscription is active, the App uses RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID, the Apple receipt or transaction information, your device model, OS version, App version and country/currency as reported by the App Store. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, chosen place or widget designs. We use this data only to unlock Pro features, restore purchases, and view aggregated subscription statistics. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. RevenueCat processes data in the United States; transfers are covered by its standard contractual clauses.
6. Support email
The App has no contact form. When you choose Settings → Feedback, the App opens your own mail app with a pre-filled message addressed to our support inbox, which is the same inbox that serves the Planetaro app (both are run by S3soft). The draft includes diagnostic lines you can see and edit before sending: App version and build, iOS version, device model, language, your chosen place name and whether Pro is active. Sending is entirely your choice. We use what you send only to answer you, and we keep the thread for as long as needed to resolve the issue, after which it may be deleted on request.
7. This website
This site has no accounts and no forms, and it sets no cookies.
- Analytics — we use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-focused service that does not use cookies and does not store personal data or IP addresses. It gives us totals such as page views, referrers, countries and device types. Because nothing identifies you, no consent banner is needed.
- Fonts — loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details to serve the files, under Google's privacy policy.
- Server logs — our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser and device type, time) for security and troubleshooting, for a limited period.
8. App Tracking Transparency
The App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites and does not share data with data brokers, so it never shows the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt. Our App Store privacy label is "Data Not Linked to You: Purchases, Identifiers (anonymous)" and "Data Not Collected" for everything else.
9. Retention and deletion
- On-device data — deleted when you delete the App (and from backups when those expire).
- RevenueCat — subscription records are kept while the anonymous ID exists; you can ask us to delete them, which also removes the ability to restore purchases through that ID (Apple's own restore still works).
- Support email — kept as long as needed to help you, deleted on request.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, and California and other US states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because almost everything lives on your device, you can exercise most of these rights yourself by editing settings or deleting the App. For anything held by RevenueCat or in a support thread, write to us via Settings → Feedback and we will respond within one month. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are in the EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Belgium this is the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données). You can also contact the authority in the country where you live.
Legal bases (GDPR): performance of a contract (delivering the App and your subscription), legitimate interests (security, answering support) and your consent (optional location access, which you can withdraw in iOS Settings at any time).
11. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 where that is the applicable age) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Because no account exists, we hold no data by which to identify a child; if you believe a child has sent us personal data by email, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes and contact
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
